Obituary Text 

On August 11, 1950 a baby boy was born to Ms. Thelma Turner and Mr. Leo Jackson in Houston Texas; he was named Vincent Bruce Turner. (aka "The Rock"). Vincent accepted Christ at an early age where he united with Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J. E. Hart. Vincent graduated from M.C. Williams High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served until his retirement. Upon leaving the military he went to work for the United States Postal Service and also retired.

On March 17, 1973 he married Roxie (deceased). He leaves to cherish his memory: one son Vincent Bruce Turner, Jr.; one daughter Vinnette Williams; two step-sons: Benny Northern and Ronald Northern, Jr.; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren; one brother Chester Turner (Letha) of Fort Worth; one sister Valorie Turner of Houston, TX; one aunt Lessie Davis; one uncle Percy Anderson "Uncle Red"; special friend Deborah Medford; extended family: Robert and Jessica Medford, Gabrielle, Simone, Jacob, Robin, Devin and Jacoby; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Part 1 Details 

The family of MSgt Vincent Turner, Sr. has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor the memory and the service to his country of their loved one by standing a Flag Line at his interment service. Riders will stage at the interment site of Greenwood Memorial Park. After the briefing, Honor Bikes will be selected to meet the coach at the entrance to the Memorial Park and escort MSgt Turner to his eternal resting place (family will have already arrived). The remaining riders will establish the Flag Line and “Stand Tall and Silent” as family and friends arrive and during the service. At the conclusion of the service and at the direction of the Ride Captain, flags will be returned to the support vehicle to be furled and stowed. Riders will then be debriefed and dismissed.
