Part 1 Details 

The family of TSgt Mitchell Alva has requested the presence of the NTXPGR at the funeral service and to ride with him to DFWNC for his interment service.

Riders will stage at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church at 0830. There will be a briefing at 0845, after which, we will stand tall and silent in the flag line as family and friends arrive. Once the service begins, the flags will be returned to the flag truck and a rider’s safety briefing will be held in preparation for the trip to DFWNC. Riders who can only attend the interment service please see part 2 of the mission.

Part 2 Details 

Riders will stage at the information center at DFWNC at 1045. After the briefing by Dan Mathys at 1100, riders will go to shelter C to set the flag line and wait for the procession to arrive. Once the service ends, the flags will be returned to storage, and riders will be debriefed and dismissed.

Funeral Processions/Escorts

EVERY RIDER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety at all times while riding in a funeral procession. 

At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way.  Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.

If you choose to fly a flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic. 

High Temperatures

It's every RIDER'S PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY to hydrate prior to attending a mission. 

Begin drinking water the night before.  Drink water when you wake up and continue drinking water all day to ensure your body stays hydrated.
