Part 1 Details 

The family of Specialist James Arthur Franklin Jr. has asked the North Texas Patriot Guard Riders to honor his service to our country by standing flag lines at his Celebration of Life and then at his Interment Service.


The PGR will stage at Serenity Funeral Chapel, flags will be set, riders will be given the mission brief and will prepare to receive the family and friends of SPC Franklin. Once the service starts, the Ride Captain will make the decision when to remove the flags and take them to the support vehicle. The riders will be debriefed and dismissed from part 1 of this mission.

Part 2 Details 

After the mission briefing, Honor Bikes will be selected, if needed, and they will move to the appropriate staging lane. Remaining riders will proceed to the assigned shelter, set the flags and await the arrival of SPC Franklin’s family and friends. After the service, flags will be returned to the storage locker and riders will be debriefed and dismissed.

Anyone attending any North Texas Patriot Guard Riders mission understands that they do so at their own risk.

Funeral Processions/Escorts

EVERY RIDER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety at all times while riding in a funeral procession. 

At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way.  Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.

If you choose to fly a flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic. 

High Temperatures

It's every RIDER'S PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY to hydrate prior to attending a mission. 

Begin drinking water the night before.  Drink water when you wake up and continue drinking water all day to ensure your body stays hydrated.
